Amy offers the following services:
Amy brings years of experience to her practice of massage and bodywork, blending the rehabilitative techniques of Orthopedic massage which focus on specific muscles and patterns of dysfunction in the soft tissue of the body with deep tissue work to release chronic tension and adhesions in the muscles and connective tissue.
Swedish massage promotes relaxation and increases circulation in the body aiding in the removal of metabolic wastes and the delivery of nutrients to the muscles. In her practice she sees many clients with repetitive strain and sports injuries as well as those who seek relief from stress, tension and just want a good massage.
Amy began her training in 1992 at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, and has continued her education over the years with certifications in Orthopedic Massage with Dr. Tom Hendrickson, Pregnancy massage with Carol Osborne-Sheets, and CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. When not at the Center, she is on the massage staff at Pixar Animation Studio or at her business, Bodytherapy, in San Francisco's Mission/Noe Valley area.
