Gentle Exercise – Spinal Mobilization
 



With these concerns in mind the Emeryville Health & Wellness Center team is offering exercise classes suitable for all levels of fitness.

We encourage each person to work at their own pace and give personal feedback and instructions to ensure safety and success. The goal of our classes is to bring back enjoyment of movement and create an increased sense of well-being.

- Reduce or eliminate neck, shoulder & lower back pain.

- Increase focus, overall vitality and range of motion.

This class emphasizes a series of movements incorporating somatics with strengthening, stretching and centering routines from martial arts that mobilize the spine while stimulating neurological connections. The movements help undo the effects of spinal compression which may cause fatigue, back or neck pain or spasms, and can limit one’s range of motion. It is a useful routine to incorporate into regular exercise. With these movements you can begin gaining flexibility and strength. Posture and overall health/well being also benefit from increased motion in the spine.

he class is one hour; presented in four 15 minute segments. Each week we go over the entire series linking all movements to slow deep breathing.
